Wacky Reference Wednesdays, No. 346

FERRO LAD. 2017. Gouache on watercolor block, 9 × 12″.

For reflective surfaces, it always helps to have good reference. And while Ferro Lad is a bit shinier than most iron, I'm assuming he's nicely polished. The 3D model below is something I sculpted in Sculptris, a free program you should all be using. Many materials (matcaps) come standard with the download, but I created this one by searching for images of shiny spheres online and making the desired adjustments. Such is my life.

Anemic? I think not!

I'll be taking a break from blogging, email, social media, ranting, and raving for the next 10 days (at least) as we embark on a family vacation. Please enjoy your break from me responsibly.
