Iron Man. 2011. Acryla Gouache on a comic cover, 7 × 10.5″.

I finished this recently, though it was from last year's con. I don't normally do fully-rendered painting on comic covers, but since I was able to take this home with me, I used acrylic paint, which has a lot more coverage power (as compared to watercolor). Red metal is fun to paint. Yep.

  2. Thanks, Andrew. It all depends on the personal preference of the artist. I generally use gouache with acrylic embellishments, but I use all acrylic when I have to paint on certain surfaces. At conventions, I use nothing but watercolors.
