Spidey "Art"

Friday, September 5, 2008

When I was delving into this whole black and white business, I decided to do a couple master copies to get the ball rolling. These are taken from the Web of Spider-Man Annual from 1986. It features interiors by Art Adams (not to mention a backup story by some young guy named Mike Mignola). Spidey's costume was black at the time, but I really just wanted the poses. He captured the movement and anatomy of Spidey like no one else I've seen.

That comic was given to me by me Dad, whose birthday is today. Happy Birthday, Dad! I know you don't read my blog every day, but Mom does, and she'll forward you the link. Thanks for playing Doctor Doom!
